Jessica Alba, Joel McHale, Rowan Blanchard and Mason Cook are the newcomers to the Spy Kid franchise. Danny Trejo, Alexa Vega, Antonio Banderas and Daryl Sabara reprise their roles from previous installments. Rodriguez will hold many hats on the film, he will act as writer, director, producer, editor, visual effects supervisor and director of photography of the movie. Shooting of Spy Kids 4 was done in Austin, Texas. Film is actually not shot in 3-D, but 3-D is added during the post production works.
Spy Kids 4 story
Retired secret agent Marissa Cortez (Jessica Alba) is married to a famous spy hunting television reporter. Marissa is also a step mother to intelligent twins Rebecca and Cecil, trying to avoid her. She’s called back into action by OSS (home of great spies) when maniacal Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) threatens to take over the planet. During the mission Rebecca and Cecil realized that their boring stepmother was once a top agent. With a little help from other Spy kids and some mind blowing gadgets they save the world and bring their family together.
